I don’t tend to talk a lot of baseball in my racing exploits, but that doesn’t mean I’m not a huge fan. In fact, I went to as many minor league baseball games as I could during the previous Red Bull GRC season. I’m a huge, huge baseball card collector. And Opening Day is one of my favorite days of the year.

My hometown Red Sox weren’t able to pull out the win in Tampa on Thursday, but they won on Friday and they’re holding a 3-2 lead as I’m writing this right now. There’s a lot of optimism in Boston this year, and there has been ever since the truck left Fenway Park for the start of spring training. Even though Houston took them down last October, the addition of J.D. Martinez and return of most of last year’s stars (and don’t forget the hot start from Xander Bogaerts!) makes it an exciting time to be a baseball fan here.

All this is to say that a new year requires a new look, and I’ve finally gotten around to updating the layout of my website for the first time in who-knows-how-long. I probably will remain pretty scarce here for the moment, as the day job is getting most of my attention and Metal Fuel and Rubber will get most of my free time, but I figured that an update to the aesthetic here deserved a few words.
