About Chris Leone

Chris Leone is an experienced motorsport marketing professional who currently serves as the Marketing and Communications Manager at iRacing, Media Director for JB15, and a freelance writer and content creator for hire across numerous realms of racing. He started his career at Red Bull Global Rallycross, where he served as the youngest Media Director in professional racing for nearly five years while following a global racing schedule across three continents. Under his management, GRC’s social media channels grew to well over half a million followers through daily posts and groundbreaking content executions.

At iRacing, Chris’ responsibilities include producing press releases, news stories, and content copy for users’ in-game experience, as well as a co-hosting role on Downshift, the company’s official podcast. On the esports side, he is the coverage lead for the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series, Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup, iRacing World of Outlaws Sprint Car World Championship, and other professional esports series. He also served as the logistics lead on the first-ever eNASCAR Media Day in 2020, which saw 38 of the series’ 40 drivers head to NASCAR headquarters in Charlotte to create content for the series’ live streams on NASCAR social media channels.

Linking both past and present experience, Chris serves as the series director for iRacing Rallycross (iRX), which encompasses both a World Championship series for sim racers and an All-Star Invitational for real-world pros and celebrities. Within iRX, Chris manages invitations and content deliverables for real-world teams involved in the World Championship, series sponsorship and marketing executions, competition rules, and prize structures, among other key day-to-day needs.

Chris’ Media Director role at JB15 includes radio appearances on the General Tire Down & Dirty Show Powered By Polaris RZR, a nationally syndicated two-hour program that airs twice weekly on Sirius XM; social media content management and press distribution for multiple JB15 driver and brand clients; and other advisory responsibilities.

Elsewhere, Chris is a regular contributor to multiple Mad Media properties, including the Mint 400, UTV World Championship, UTVUnderground, and Off-Road Racer. In 2020, he served as race director for the LCQ League, a weekly iRacing event that pit legendary IndyCar, Supercross, NASCAR, and rallycross drivers against one another in multiple races featuring surprise car and track combinations that were not shared with drivers before each race. Other past credits include Rally America, Bleacher Report, and Subaru Winter Experience.

Chris is based in the greater Boston, Massachusetts area. Other hobbies include collecting and customizing diecast cars, music performance and production, and grilling.
